Kaleb Cooper’s third child born with unusual name suggested by Clarkson
Clarkson’s Farm fan-favourite Kaleb Cooper has shared the joyful news that he and his partner Taya have welcomed their third child, a baby boy, into the world.

The 27-year-old farmer from Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, who rose to fame alongside Jeremy Clarkson in the hit Prime Video series, took to Instagram this weekend to introduce the newest member of his family — a baby boy named Ashton.
Posting a sweet photo of the newborn wrapped in a blanket and wearing a knitted hat, Cooper wrote:
“Baby number 3. Everyone, meet Ashton, weighing 6.13lb, born 14th August at 6.28pm at Chipping Norton Maternity.”
Ashton joins his older siblings — four-year-old Oscar and two-year-old Willa — completing the family of five. Fans and fellow farmers flooded the comments section with congratulations, celebrating the young farmhand’s growing family.
From Fields to Fatherhood
Cooper first appeared on Clarkson’s Farm in 2021, where his quick wit, deep farming knowledge, and no-nonsense attitude quickly made him a breakout star. Known for keeping Jeremy Clarkson in line, the Chipping Norton native has become one of the most beloved personalities on the show, which has now run for four seasons on Amazon Prime.
Over the years, viewers have watched Kaleb balance his demanding farm work with family life. He and Taya, who have been together for several years, often share glimpses of their rural home life online — from tractors and harvests to family milestones like this one.
The couple’s announcement comes just weeks after Cooper wrapped filming for his own Amazon Prime series in Australia, marking another exciting chapter in his already thriving farming career.
Jeremy Clarkson’s Hilarious Reaction
Kaleb’s boss and co-star Jeremy Clarkson couldn’t resist sharing his own lighthearted reaction to the happy news. Writing in his column for The Sun, the 64-year-old Top Gear presenter revealed that he and the farm team had been joking about potential baby names — with one particularly odd suggestion.
“The boy wonder Kaleb Cooper, who manages my farm, received word this week that his wife was in labour,” Clarkson wrote.
“Happily, he finished harvesting in time to welcome what for him is baby number three, and then our thoughts turned to a name.”
He continued:
“One of our mates suggested it should be named after the field he was harvesting when the call came through. Nice idea, except for one small detail. The field was called Deadman.”
Clarkson added that despite the unexpected mid-harvest interruption, the Diddly Squat team still managed to finish the job on time — proving once again that even in moments of joy, farm life never stops.
Fans Celebrate the Good News
Fans of Clarkson’s Farm were quick to congratulate the young father on social media, with many commenting on how far he’s come since his early days on the show.
“From fixing tractors to raising three beautiful kids — Kaleb’s living proof that hard work pays off,” one fan wrote.
Another added: “Congratulations Kaleb and Taya! Ashton’s already got the best role model in farming.”
With Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 already wrapped and more projects in the works, it’s clear that Kaleb Cooper’s life — both on and off the field — is busier and brighter than ever.
And while Jeremy Clarkson may still jokingly call him the “boy wonder,” it’s safe to say Kaleb’s now firmly stepped into the role of proud father and rising farming star.
