The Hawkstone Choir will perform to celebrate season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm on May 23rd

Diddly Squat Farm is trading the roar of the Lamborghini tractor for the soaring harmonies of a golden-buzzer-winning choir. The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir, who recently stunned national audiences on Britain’s Got Talent, has been confirmed to perform at the farm on May 23rd to celebrate the highly anticipated premiere of Clarkson’s Farm Season 5.

The collective, formed with the backing of Jeremy Clarkson and sponsored by his Oxfordshire-based Hawkstone Brewery, has become a breakout sensation. Their rise to fame was cemented when judge Amanda Holden awarded them her “Golden Buzzer,” catapulting the group of singing agriculturalists directly into the semi-finals.

Light Relief for a “Darker” Season

The choir’s presence comes at a critical time for the series. While Clarkson’s Farm has long balanced comedy with the harsh realities of rural life, sources close to production indicate that the upcoming episodes will lean into more somber territory.

“Fans will be able to see the next series in a matter of weeks, though according to Jeremy, it’s a rather darker season than we’ve been used to,” a source told The Sun. The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir is expected to provide “much-needed lighter relief” and a more uplifting atmosphere in the subsequent installments currently under production.

Season 6 Greenlit Amid Winter Vows

Despite the 65-year-old presenter’s recent hints at a potential retirement from television, the future of Diddly Squat on screen appears secure. Amazon bosses have officially signed off on Season 6, ensuring the cameras will continue to roll well into 2027.

The path to the sixth season was unconventional. Clarkson had originally planned a rare hiatus for early 2026—his first break in 40 years—coinciding with Kaleb Cooper’s filming commitments in Australia and his own hosting duties on Millionaire Hot Seat. However, Clarkson made a vow to the crew: if it snowed, the cameras would come back out.

“We’ve never had a rest,” Clarkson told The Sun. “Farming doesn’t stop… but I just said, ‘If it snows, we’ll start filming again.'” True to his word, the team is already back in the fields, with cameras rolling to ensure a steady delivery of content for next year.

No Shortage of Ideas

Clarkson remains enthusiastic about the show’s longevity, citing a surplus of agricultural schemes yet to be tested on the 1,000-acre estate. “I’ll stop doing them when there are no more ideas,” Clarkson stated. “But I’ve got two quite good ones for six, so we’ll do six and then we’ll see.”

As the village of Chadlington prepares for the influx of fans on May 23rd, the arrival of the Hawkstone Choir serves as a testament to the community spirit the show has fostered—even if the farming itself remains as “dark” and difficult as ever.
