FIELDS OF GLORY: Clarkson Unveils ‘Never Been Done Before’ Farm-Fest Line-Up

Jeremy Clarkson is trading the “Grey Ghost” for a strobe light. The broadcaster-turned-agricultural-disruptor has officially pulled back the curtain on the full itinerary for The Great British Farm-Fest, a three-day extravaganza that aims to do the impossible: make British farming the headliner of a world-class music festival.

Set to take over Stoneleigh Park from May 22 to May 24, the event isn’t just a concert; it’s a high-decibel platform for the industry. Clarkson, along with his Clarkson’s Farm cohorts Kaleb Cooper, Lisa Hogan, and “Cheerful” Charlie Ireland, will swap the muddy trenches of Diddly Squat for center stage in a bid to showcase the “incredible talent” of the British countryside.

Friday: The Barn-Rave Begins

The festival kicks off with a concept that embodies the “never been done before” spirit: the Young Farmer DJ Battle. Hosted by Capital Radio’s Chris Stark, the competition will see the UK’s most rhythmic agriculturalists compete for deck supremacy.

As the sun sets over the Hawkstone Music Arena, the energy shifts from tractors to techno. The evening features the rock flair of Rick Parfitt Jnr and a legendary DJ set from Groove Armada. Closing the first night is the “Queen of the Kitchen Disco” herself, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who will bring her dazzling pop catalog to the rural Warwickshire setting.

Saturday: The All-Star Farm Party

Saturday is designed as a massive communal tribute to British nostalgia and country charm. The day begins with the chart-topping country duo The Shires, providing the perfect soundtrack for a pint of Hawkstone lager.

As the afternoon rolls into evening, the arena will transform into a giant sing-along. Radio legends Sara Cox and Chris Moyles will deliver high-octane DJ sets—Cox with her “Power Wower” festival anthems and Moyles with a signature 90s session. The night culminates in a “Massaoke” session and a headline performance by the premier tribute act Noasis, ensuring the “Farm-Fest” stays loud well into the night.

Sunday: Britpop, Classics, and Nashville Melodies

The final day offers a sophisticated homage to British musical heritage. Attendees can expect a journey through the timeless hits of 10cc and the country-soul of One Night in Nashville.

The weekend’s climax features two heavy-hitting “supergroup” concepts:

  • Ricky Wilson Presents the Fabulous Adjustable Band: The Kaiser Chiefs frontman leads a rotating lineup of prominent musicians in their first-ever public appearance.

  • Alex James’ Britpop Classical: The Blur bassist—and fellow farmer—will close the festival with a fresh, orchestral interpretation of the 90s tracks that defined a generation.

The Mission Behind the Mayhem

While the lineup reads like a Glastonbury wishlist, the heart of the event remains firmly in the soil. Festival Director Chris Hughes emphasized that the goal is to celebrate the farming industry in an entirely new light.

“By pairing legendary farmers and TV favorites with world-class DJs and rock stars, we are delivering three days of unforgettable parties that put the heart of the countryside center stage,” Hughes stated.

For Clarkson, the festival is the latest chapter in his campaign to bring agricultural issues to the mainstream. By inviting the public to party alongside the people who produce their food, he hopes to foster a newfound respect for the grit and talent required to keep Britain fed.

The Great British Farm-Fest represents a massive gamble on the public’s appetite for “agri-tainment,” but with a lineup this stacked, Stoneleigh Park looks set to become the most important field in England this May.
