Health Crises and Farmyard Chaos Anchor New ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ Trailer

Amazon Prime Video has debuted the official trailer for the fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm, revealing that the upcoming episodes will confront the fragility of its 65-year-old star’s health head-on. The raw, high-stakes footage confirms that the reality series will document the immediate aftermath of broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson’s sudden, life-threatening coronary emergency.
The cinematic preview opens with a sobering sequence featuring an ambulance racing away from the 1,000-acre Diddly Squat estate under emergency lights. It is followed by shaky, cell-phone footage captured from a hospital bed, where a nurse is seen attaching electrocardiogram (ECG) probes to Clarkson’s chest against a backdrop of medical machinery beeps.
A Grim Brush with Mortality
Upon returning to the property after undergoing emergency surgery to clear a severely blocked artery with a stent, a visibly sobered Clarkson is filmed explaining the mechanics of the scare to his young farm manager, Kaleb Cooper.
“You’ve got three arteries that feed your heart to keep it pumping,” Clarkson notes. “My heart wasn’t getting any blood.” The heavy moment is punctured by a nearby woman who volunteers, “To be fair, my mother dropped dead of a heart attack at 67.” Clarkson cracks back with his signature dry wit: “There you go, you see? Cheery news.”

Despite the brush with death, any assumptions that the former Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter would slow down are immediately shattered by the breakneck pace of the remaining trailer.
Defying Amazon and the Doctors
The trailer shifts focus to late 2024, tracking Clarkson as he travels to central London to join thousands of agricultural workers protesting controversial changes to the inheritance tax budget.
“The doctor told me not to speak. Amazon’s told me not to speak,” Clarkson tells land agent Charlie Ireland moments before ignoring both warnings to deliver a blistering public speech to the national media at the Westminster rally.
The Realities of Rural Life
The upcoming season also highlights the stark emotional swings of modern agriculture. In one heartwarming sequence, the presenter is shown on his knees in the dirt, manually pulling the legs of an expectant cow’s calf to assist in a difficult birth, before the camera cuts to the newborn skipping happily through the pasture.
However, the triumph is instantly overshadowed by a devastating biosecurity crisis. The trailer documents the moment a government inspector informs a stunned Clarkson that one of his cows has tested positive for bovine tuberculosis (TB).

“I’m putting the whole farm under restrictions,” the official states on camera. “The ministry will get in touch with you, and talk through what you can and can’t do.”
The promotional reel ends on a comedic, albeit stressful, note illustrative of the relentless farming work ethic. While driving a massive combine harvester, Kaleb Cooper radios Clarkson to announce that his partner, Taya, has just gone into active labor with their third child.
“Shit, you’ve got to go,” Clarkson urges over the radio.
“No, not yet,” Cooper stubbornly fires back from the cab. “I’ll finish this field quickly.”
Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 officially premieres globally on Prime Video on June 3.
