During a game of ‘Who Said That’ on Amazon Prime’s YouTube channel, Jeremy, Kaleb, and Jeremy’s partner Lisa Hogan attempted to work out who had said: “The only thing they won’t eat is teeth”.

They then remembered a disturbing incident in which a piglet had been consumed by its mother.

After establishing that Lisa had uttered the phrase, Jeremy interrupted, clarifying it related to “the very first piglet we had”.

Lisa added: “Half an ear she left as well.”

Jeremy went on: “If she hadn’t left half an ear we wouldn’t have known what had happened, we just would have thought it escaped. When you find half an ear, you know.”

This represents yet another difficult animal-related incident Jeremy has faced since transitioning to full-time farming in 2019.

Earlier this month, the former Top Gear host, 65, revealed he was compelled to put down the first calf born at Diddly Squat after a tuberculosis outbreak. Sharing a photo of a cow on Instagram, Jeremy penned: “This was the first calf ever born at Diddly Squat. And this morning she was destroyed, while pregnant with twins, because she has TB. So sad.”

The distressing incident is the latest hurdle for Jeremy’s farming endeavour, as he battles to turn his 1,000 acre farm into a profitable business, a journey documented in Amazon Prime’s Clarkson Farm series.

Jeremy disclosed earlier that his farm had been struck by a TB outbreak during the summer, alerting followers that culling might be required to halt further spread.
