Lisa Hogan opens up on Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘petrifying’ health scare

Jeremy Clarkson makes 'separate ways' comment in rare romance insight with Lisa Hogan - Gloucestershire Live

Jeremy Clarkson took on one of his greatest challenges over the last year as he attempted to run a farm despite having zero experience. The Grand Tour host bought a 1,000-acre farm in the English countryside and decided to try and make a success of the land himself. During the Amazon Prime series, we see Jeremy battle coronavirus and his girlfriend Lisa Hogan has since opened up on his “petrifying” health care.

The former Top Gear host contracted Covid shortly before Christmas last year.

Describing his experience of the illness in his Sunday Times column, Jeremy admitted: “It was quite scary.”

The presenter fell ill with the virus during the filming of Clarkson’s Farm and his girlfriend Lisa has now opened up on the health scare.

She began: “Jeremy getting Covid was petrifying, but it was thankfully a very light dose.

“But yes, everyone thought at the time that if you got it, you’d end up in a hospital, so we were very aware of that.”

“We were all really careful, no one from the whole crew or anyone on the farm got it,” she continued.

“We did have one scenario when we were filming with bees where one of the cameramen had the full suit on and the camera was up to his eyes.

“And I had a stick and I was trying to push forward the bit of his suit because I could see the bees on it.

“The next thing someone was panicking, “Two metres, two metres!” he was yelling at me, I backed off and the cameraman got stung twice on his forehead.”

“Jeremy got stung quite badly on his backside,” Lisa shared.

“I mean, who would you have to be to come back as a bee and get killed on Jeremy’s backside?”

She added: “You’d have to be quite evil in life, wouldn’t you?”

The amusing clip showed Jeremy trying to get to grips with lamb shearing.

Lisa continued: “If you’re teaching someone to shear, you’d usually hold the sheep and they’d work the handpiece, which you shear the sheep with, and you’d talk them through it and encourage them.

“But we couldn’t do that because of Covid. The handpiece is really sharp and because he wasn’t very confident in handling them, I didn’t think it was safe for him to hold her and clip her himself.

“I’ve had a few cuts from shearing and they go quite deep, and you can cause quite a lot of damage to yourself.”

“So it was just safer for him to turn the sheep upside down and have a go at getting them into all the right positions.

“He didn’t actually have a sharp implement in his hand in case something did go wrong, but the sheep was in charge. It does happen.”
